We are the only true performing arts preschool - teaching violin and piano (with note reading), ballet, tap, acting, singing, math concepts and literature & writing skills - in the Pacific Northwest! Sequentially, we use the skills taught in the performing arts to teach core curriculum areas. 

We don’t just teach the alphabet – we play music! 

We don’t just read a story – we act it out!  

We don’t just count – we dance!

2 Day Classes:
Tuesdays & Thursdays (includes tap & ballet) from 9:30-12:00 (Morning Session) or from 12:30-3:00 (Afternoon Session). 
Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:30-12:00 or from 12:30-3:00 (includes creative movement) from Sept. 2018 to May 2019.
4 Day Classes   meet from 9:30-12:00 or 12:30-3:00 Monday through Thursday.
Calendar: We follow t he Puyallup School District schedule regarding snow closures and most longer breaks. Please see the handbook for the specific calendar for the year.
Age: 3 ½ through 5 years old. Students should be potty trained and 3 ½ by June 1, 2018. Younger students will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Cost: $150 per month for the 2-day program. $275 for the 4-day program. $75 registration fee due upon enrollment.
5% discount for more than one child from a family.
5% discount for full year payment.
Tuition – the yearly fee has been divided over 9 months. Holidays and 5-week months are included.
Additional Costs:
Violin Rental/Purchase. Violin study starts in January for all students in their first year will us.  We have a few violins available for rent for $25 per quarter. Other options will be provided as well, so families can choose the option that best suits them.
Ballet Shoes & Tap Shoes. (Tuesday/Thursday & 4 Day Students only) Again, we will gladly give help and guidance as needed.
Philosophy: The performing arts are taught in a fun, non-competitive manner that also engages all the brain processes that boost and stimulate learning in all areas beyond the arts. We teach the arts, then use the arts to teach.
Additionally: Arts based learning builds self-confidence; supportive social interaction; and development of large and small muscles.
Performances: There are four scheduled school performances in which the students can demonstrate their new skills for family and friends!
Health: Proof of up-to-date immunization is required before the child may enter school. For the health of your child and others, please keep your child home if there are any signs of illness.
Dress: Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and rubber soled shoes that they can move in. Remember to label all sweaters, jackets, etc.
Snacks: Students will be scheduled to bring a healthy, sugar-free snack to share with the class.  We will gladly work with parents to accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Good table manners are always encouraged.
Conferences: At least two conferences will be scheduled between the teacher and parents during the school year. Additional conferencing may be scheduled if requested.

Student Assessment: Students are formally assessed three time each academic year.  Additional assesments may be added, depending on student need.
Music & Dance Instruction: Video of the music or dance concept being taught will be posted online, so parents can practice with their children at home.
Approximate Daily Schedule:
9:30 -9:45: Small muscle building activities.
9:45-10:30: Opening circle times including basic music skills review; story; letter introduction; etc.  Also work on writing skills, patterns, math skills, and more.    
10:30-11:25: Music (piano, violin, singing), dance/movement and additional academic instruction in small groups with students rotating between in 15-20 minute increments.
11:25-11:40: Snack
11:45-12:00: Closing circle
Parents will be given a schedule regarding which shoes and/or instrument is needed on a given day.
